My New Favorite Shopping Places

So we have been a little busy with the end of the school year ( I didn't think getting to the end of the school year would be busier than the beginning of the school year) We have also been working hard on our backyard which I will be posting pictures of as soon as I dig up our plants that have already died and take them back to replace with live ones. Apparently I do not have a green thumb. Anyway, in the midst of all of this I have some discovered some great online shopping sites. Some of them you all know about but they have add some way cute stuff and I need to share!

http://www.downeastbasics.com/ This has to be my all time favorite place for good cheap clothes. They are way cheaper than Shade Clothing and I like the way they fit better (slightly looser). They have added some great dresses and they are also selling swimsuits!
These guys have the cutest swimsuits ever. Plus they aren't a bad price (around $60) which isn't that much more than you would pay at target if you go when they first get their swimsuits in (which you have to do in order to get something you want). They also have the cutest shirts and dresses and from what I hear their fabric is lighter which is really nice for the hot summers!

These are by far the cutest dresses I have seen in a long time for the money. A friend told be about them so I haven't purchased from them yet but I soon will. If anyone has bought anything from them let me know how they fit!

I am always looking for cute clothing that is already modest or can be made modest relatively easy. If anyone else knows of any other great clothing sites post them in a comment so we can all share in the wonderful joy of shopping for things we can actually wear!!!!!

3 Things.......

Three things I'm afraid of:
1. Speaking in Church
2. Going to the store with all three of my kids
3. Laundry (the amount of laundry I do really does scare me)

Three People Who Make Me Laugh:
1. Ethan & Landon
2. Mackenzie
3. Jared

Three Things I Love:
1. Jared and the kids
2. Playing the piano (my mom always said I would and now I can say I believe her)
3. Watching all my favorite TV shows on my DVR without commercials

Three Things I Hate:
1. Laundry (even though I hate it and it scares me we really do wear clean clothes)
2. That I am not good at keeping in touch with people
3. People that don't have kids because they don't like them, and then don't want to share this earth with people who do love kids and have them (I have met plenty of them)

Three Things I Don’t Understand:
1. Traffic
2. Why complete strangers will try to get your child to stop throwing a tantrum in public (do they honestly think I haven't tried to get them to stop, it completely baffles me)
3. How anyone can find anything at discount stores like Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, honestly I spend more time four-wheeling with my stroller over all of the stuff that has somehow ended up on the ground.

Three Things On My Desk:
1. Bills
2. Sippy Cup
3. The Computer

Three Things I’m Doing Right Now:
1. Typing of course
2. Listening to the hum of my refrigerator (which means my kids are asleep)
3. Waiting for Jared to get home from meetings

Three Things I Want To Do Before I Die:
1. Go back to Hawaii with all of my family
2. Finish Dental Hygiene School
3. Sing in the Mo Tab (I would love to do this but since you audition then sing with the alternate choir for 3 yrs, then if you're still around you get to sing with the real deal and since I don't live near utah and probably won't anytime soon, it may not happen in this life)

Three Things I Can Do:
1. Play the piano/Sing
2. Find anything (ask jared, without me he can't find anything, literally)
3. Remember the smallest most insignificant anything (again refer to jared)

Three things I Can’t Do:
1. Sleep (I really hate it too)
2. Not stress about things
3. Make dinner two nights in a row (it truly is utterly impossible for me)

Three Things I Think You Should Listen To:
1. The Gospel/Spirit
2. Your Parents (I should have started this sooner)
3. Music (all kinds except for the trashy stuff) & Stephen Colbert (watch him on Comedy central)

Three Things You Should Never Listen To:
1. Comments people make to you when you are anywhere with your kids and they are crying
2. extreme liberals & liberal media
3. Global warming crap! (Volcano's emit more harmful gases per eruption than years of industrial pollution) we all know how it's going to end anyway right?

Three Things I’d Like To Learn:
1. to cook without a recipe
2. to sew
3. to relax

Three Favorite Foods:
1. Cafe Rio
2. strawberry shortcake/strawberry freezer jam
3. Grilled meat that is tender moist and seasoned well

Three Shows I Watched As A Kid:
1. Saved By The Bell
2. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (my sister cried when it went off the air)
3. Silver Spoons

Three Things I Regret:
1. Using all of my wedding budget (whatever I didn't spend we could keep, should have skipped all of the stuff no one remembers. Take some nice pictures, have a really good lunch/dinner with close friends and family and call it a day)
2. Not buying a house when we started dental school (we did buy one half way through, but we would have made a killing if we would have done it sooner)
3. Not taking hardly any pictures of me pregnant (if it weren't for my mother-in-law I wouldn't have any. Thanks Donna)

3 People I'm Tagging (Who now have to post this on their Blog with their answers):
1. Everyone who reads this! I love finding new stuff out about people I already know
2. Anyone who reads this!
3. Anyone and Everyone who reads this (you can even email to me if you want to start blogging)

Sweeter than Cake!!!

So I can pat myself on the back for taking that sweetest picture of all time of Mackenzie! Somehow it didn't end up in the picture but she did have a bowl with a piece of cake in it and while I was waiting to take a picture of her eating that she decided that the piece I gave her wasn't big enough.

Since she and Chloe (my sister's little girl) have birthday's only a few day's apart we just celebrated them together at a park here in town. The kids had loads and fun and really wore themselves out. It was a nice relaxing get together since nobody had to worry about cleaning up their house after everyone left. The kids just ran around and everyone got a chance to visit (not that we don't see each other almost daily).

I can't believe that she is already 2 years old. Time is just flying by. Everyone has been asking lately if we are going to be getting ready to have another one, the thought does cross my mind once in a while but then my daydream of it is interrupted by one of my kids screaming, fighting, or breaking yet one more thing and the thought quickly and I mean really quickly passes. We haven't totally put it out of the realm of possibility but it will be another little while before we really decide. Besides I think we really should let some of Jared's siblings take a turn in providing some grandkids! That means you T & Erk!

Ward Pinewood Derby

Our favorite babysitters!

Nikki Sagers & Emily Judd
A few weeks ago our ward had a pinewood derby. It has to be one of the best ward activities I have ever been to. I think making a competition out of using power tools to make a wooden car is a sure fire way to get every last man and his entire family to any ward activity. Jared definitely got into the spirit of things. His car (or skateboard) won most creative and did go pretty far in the rounds or heats as they call them in the pinewood derby world. The kids had a great time and so did we since our two favorite babysitters were there so we had a couple of extra eyes to keep track of kids!

Laker Game!

These are a few of the pictures from our Laker game. My dad got us the best seats so we give him a huge shout out!!! Thanks!!! We had so much fun. We went down early and did some shopping at the Grove (I love that place) had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, we sat on the 2nd floor balcony so we had a great view for people watching. The game was really close so it was a lot of fun to watch. Boyz to men sang the national anthem and then did some of the half time show. Took me right back to Jr. High school. We sat just a few feet away from Kareem Abdul Jabar. I felt bad taking the picture of him because he was taking all kinds of notes on the game and looked like he was concentrating really hard but I guess he is used to it because he didn't flinch or even look over to give me a dirty look. We saw some celebs but we had my mom's camera and it is not a very good one so none of our pictures turned out very well. Guess we will just have to go back again with my camera!

Lots of pics for lots of things!

Well hopefully I can write most of this post before the kids destroy my house. Not that it is really put together at this point but at least we aren't tripping over things still. I have been asked to post pictures of the house on the blog which I am happy to do but

remember we have only been in for 2 1/2 weeks, so forgive the projects still under construction.
We are waiting for our laminate flooring to get here. So everywhere you see carpet now will be laminate wood in a few weeks. I will post some pics of bedrooms and other rooms when we get them done. Pictures of boxes probably wouldn't be to exciting.

Sorry no Pic

Well since I said I was going to try really hard to keep up with the blogging I am blogging but not posting a picture. I really find it more interesting to make posts with pictures since I love looking at them but since we just moved and my camera ran out of batteries, I guess I am lucky to be sitting down to make the post at all. Where to begin with such a crazy week or so. We have had lots of things happening. We had a ward pinewood derby which was lots of fun we have lots of pics from that. We moved into our house and are still moving in as I write. We went to a Laker game that my dad got us tickets for. We sat on the 16th row and watched them play the warriors. It was actually a really good game, we thought it would be kind of a blow out. We sat about 20 feet from Kareem Abdul Jabar, and I give myself a pat on the back for being the only one that noticed him. Considering my husband is a basketball nut I felt pretty proud. Anyway, I have lots of pictures from all of this stuff so I will be making another post soon. Have a great day everyone!
