Bike ride

Made my first 30 mile bike ride this weekend. It wasn't exactly smooth sailing, but I did pretty good. Couldn't make it up the 12% grade 20 miles into the ride. Otherwise things went pretty well. I enjoyed the scenery, and Carson was kind enough to stay with me even though he could have outridden me backwards. I looked pretty awesome in the shorts in case you were wondering. Next time I'll have to get a picture to prove it.

Arizona Visit

It was really nice this past week to have Mom, Melissa and Teresa with us. We enjoyed a lot of time with the kids and were able to do a lot of things together. Kim and I had our first date by ourselves for the year. We had a really good mexican dinner at Abuelo's. Thanks everybody. We got Mackenzie's ears pierced for her birthday and Kim made a nice ladybug cake. We had black beans and Guarana, and enjoyed a lot of fun together. We took family pictures on Saturday and laid out in the sun. I haven't heard from any of the Texas folk yet, but we got a little burnt. I got in the pool for the first time this year and it was pretty chilly. We are looking forward to our trip to Bakersfield this next week, and hopefully the job market will be friendly to us while we're there. I am hoping to get a little golf in, but we'll see how the week goes.

Funny Morning

Before Jared went to bed last night he set the alarm and hopped in bed. Pretty soon the alarm went off and Jared got out of bed turned on the shower and started shaving and brushing his teeth. Then he realized how dark it was outside. The kids had messed up the time on the clock and it was only 2 am. Great way to start the day.

Our crazy "T" man at his finest.

if ethan was to get a trophy for anything in particular it would have been for how little he paid attention. The other little boy named ethan who my ethan thinks is there for his sole entertainment made ethan's inability to pay attention worse. They had so many things going on that it really didn't matter. Even though when you watch the video you will be seeing how all the other boys in his group are sitting down or standing in a line and waiting their turn and the two ethans are just running through all the stuff or trying to swing on the ropes.

Ethan had his first gymnastics exhibition on Fri. He showed us everything he learned. His favorite part was standing on top of the podium, holding his trophy in the air while everyone clapped for him. That picture will be posted later.

How to make a post

to make a post just click on the BlogThis! at the top of the page. It will bring up a different window where you can type your message. Then just click the orange publish post. If you want to post pictures you need to go back to the page that has the tabs that say posting and view blog. When you click on create new post you will see the options for the font and spell check and there will also be a small picture. Click on that to find your pictures and it will then upload them to the blog.

Classic Landon. After having a fit he fell asleep in the bucket. At least he put the pillow in there for cushioning.

Can't believe that Katherine was in the bottom three of American Idol. Should have been bucky instead of her. At least Lisa went home instead of Katherine.
