So as you can tell i have been lazy about my blog these days. My sister in law teresa says she is about to get fierce with me if I don't start updating. My days have been filled with bored kids and lots of cleaning and laundry. This past weekend we had a 4th of july barbecue and we also blessed ashton. We have had jared's parents here which has been such a huge help. So here are my ramblings for the last few weeks.
The Bachelorette---Come one people. If i hear one more contestant say i didn't expect to fall in love i just might throw up a little. What did you expect when you go on a show where you are supposed to find a potential husband/wife. Deanna....Jesse? Really? I was rooting for jason but i think he will be the next bachelor so i will just wait for that. I thought it would be jeremy but with that embarrassing bout of graveling and crying i don't think so. He is a good looking guy with a good job and a nice family, obviously the guy has issues.
So you think you can dance----I am loving this season. I don't' know how I feel about some of the new choreographers but I do have my favorite couples. Mark and Chelsea, Gev and Courtney, Twitch and Kerrington, and Josh and Katie. For those that don't watch start now. Great entertainment.
Kids Shows---- These i have seen way to much of as have my children. I did learn something about myself from one of my most hated shows. Max and Ruby. I loathe this show but mackenzie loves it. So i let her watch it. After a really bad day of dealing with ethan (that is an entire post itself) I sat down on the couch while mackenzie was watching this show. What I realized was that I am just like ruby. I make the biggest deal out of the littlest things with the kids. I do not pick my battles very well. Ruby is constantly trying to correct what max is doing when what he is doing is either working for him or is really not a big deal. It drives me crazy. So i guess i must drive myself crazy. I have seriously got to work on this.
Cleaning---I need a maid. I just cannot keep up with all of it. I hate it. I avoid it like the plague. Sometimes I will just leave my house for the day just to avoid looking at it and then get upset when I have to come back home and see how messy it is again. With gas over 4 dollars i am now just at my house avoiding the messy rooms. One clean room is better than none so I think we will just spend most of our time in that room.
Wii----we finally got one. I have to say it has been a great threat for discipline. The kids love we and we love it. We did get guitar hero aerosmith which jared really loves and i am slowly learning. I did make it through one whole song though. We even got jared's dad to play it. once he got started the competitive side of him wouldn't let him quit without giving each song a few try's.
So hopefully that will cover me for the next few weeks. Below are pictures from the latest events. I hope we don't melt this week. It is supposed to be a 111 today. Honestly that is too hot even for good ol' bako.

okay, so I totally agree with the Bachelorette...What a seriously gagging show. I didn't watch all that much but enough to wonder why she chose Jesse over the others. But, anyways, that is her marriage and her issue and she does look happy. Sounds like you guys are having fun with some of the help that has come out. Sure wish we could have made it, but we will catch you guys at Christmas. Well, just so you know I am so glad that you posted again, BUT it won't satisfy me for a few weeks. Maybe one week, but not longer....:) love y'all!
You are too funny - why can't we live closer to each other. I love the comparison of yourself to a cartoon character. We are totally moms - where did our true selves go? Ditto on the Bachelorette! Can Deanna keep her head still when she talks or does she always have to bob it?! And could she be anymore annoying when she's with Jesse? OMG!

I hear ya with the Bachelorette! But I'm addicted and waiting for the next season to start already. Love all the photos, your baby is such a cutie. Hope you stay cool, invest in a whole box of otter pops and a pool pass. I remember my first summer in SA. I was teaching and the kids had to have indoor recess because it was 114, all I could think about was that I had offically moved to HELL. Good luck.

Kim! It was so good to see and hear new things about your family! I am with you 100% on So You Think You Can Dance. I think I like Gev more and more each week. Bachelorette...I was in shock when she pulled Jason to stand up. She's an idiot. Jesse seems cool, but to me he's so not attractive or stable. My friend, Danielle, has a friend that knows Jeremy. I was rooting for him until she told me that he's actually really cocky and a jerk and he told one of his friends that DeAnna's "okay". "Graham already played the hottie/hard to get card, so I had to be the handsome/wear your heart on your sleeve guy." He's lame. I'm glad she saw through it. His groveling at the end was pathetic.
Enough ranting and raving. It was good to see your pics...I must say that I was shocked to see that you, Miss Americana, didn't have your kids dressed in theme! I can't talk, though. I didn't either. I feel your pain about cleaning and laundry...it is the "song that never ends...it goes on and on my friend" (did you guys ever sing that song at Girl's Camp?) Anyway, hang in there...it gets better (I hope!) I want to hear about your bad day with Ethan so that I can feel better about how many bad days I've been having! Sorry to ramble...bye!
OK--so my kids like Max & Ruby too. Can I get paid to write the theme song for that dumb show. Listen to it next time. Max & Ruby, Ruby & Max. What creative genius came up with that?? It's ridiculous.
We've been trapped indoors too. Most people are trapped from snow- but we get extreme heat and horrible air quality. Who chose to live here anyways??
The Bachelorette- I liked Jesse. He's not attractive, but at least he's not annoying. He's down to earth and he can snowboard with someone ON HIS BACK!! That was so cool. Jason- nice guy but he is too Disney for me. Quit skipping around- you're a grown man for crying out loud. And Jeremy- weirdo! There's something about him that's just creepy. I think she will have a lot of fun with Jesse- until they break up that is.
My kids are so bored also. I am soooo ready for school to start. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids but thank heavens for school!! I also would love a maid, why can guys get a gardner and girls can't get maids?
